This is my standard Grand Canyon hiking gear: Wrangler jean shorts, sweat shirt, Smartwool Socks, a hat, and Ecco Rugged Terrain hiking boots. My two Leki hiking poles were not in the photo! In the winter is use moisture-wicking shirts under my sweat shirt. Those shirts will wick sweat away and keep you dry. ** Important: you don't want to use moisture-wicking shirts in the summer or when its hot. When its hot outside: that sweaty shirt will keep your body cool. Hiking the Grand Canyon in the summer can be deadly.
