Mountain rescue reported in the 18300 block of Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale, AZ.

[Update] Scottsdale Fire officials tell us in an email that paramedics and the technical rescue team responded to the Gateway Loop Trail in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve for a dog in possible distress. Crews responded with water and the big wheel and assisted the dog back down the trail. Dog appeared to be in good condition. Owner advised to follow-up with a vet.
There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.
The Scottsdale Fire Department wants residents and visitors to remember to take care of and make preparations for hiking with your pets.
