1 injured in Scottsdale Apartment Fire

One man was injured in an apartment fire at the Scottsdale Meadows apartment complex at 10888 North 70th Street in Scottsdale Sunday morning. The fire was first reported at around 4:00 a.m. MST.

Police tell Scottsdale Arizona News that an apartment unit was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival of emergency crews. Surrounding apartments were evacuated. One resident jumped from a second-story window to escape the flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire. The resident of the apartment where the fire occurred was injured and transported to John C Lincoln Hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

It it is unknown when evacuated residents will be allowed back into the building.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
