Mountain rescue reported at the Gateway Trailhead at 18333 North Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Units responding or on scene include: E45 E610 C957N C957S SQ29 BC2 BC601.
[Update: 11:53 PM MST] Injured hiker x 2 on the gateway loop trail. SFD officials tell us that one patient is about 1.5 miles up north trail. Crews encountered a 2nd patient as they were trying to make access to the first patient. Crews were split up and paramedics are walking the 2nd hiker off the mountain. Technical Rescue Team (TRT) units will use the “big wheel” to extricate the first hiker off the mountain.
