Gila Monster removal reported in the 7800 block of East Las Piedras Way in Scottsdale, AZ.
Engine 613 (E613) is responding. The reptile will be carefully removed and relocated to an outlying desert area.
The Scottsdale Fire Department wants residents to know that Gila monsters are an endangered species and is protected by the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
Please remember to keep garage doors down and to look first before reaching or stepping near hiding places and limit any food sources.
