One of my friends called me yesterday and told me she is a waitress at the Scottsdale Houston's restaurant. I have never dined at Houston's! The restaurant is located near McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road.

I decided to check the place out and arrived at 6 PM for drinks and dinner. Lots of free parking. About a dozen people were waiting around the hostess stand ....and soon I found out that it would be waiting 40 minutes for my table. A Saturday night wait list for dinner! I thought everyone was broke and had no money for good food!
I had no problem waiting so I went to the bar and had one $5.00 Bud Light. 40 minutes or so my table was ready. For dinner I ordered: Bud Light, a Caesar salad, and Prime Rib. The Prime Rib includes a bake potato. The Caesar salad was loaded with lots of dressing. My baked potato was topped with butter, sour cream, and bacon bits. The Prime Rib included a nice sized cup of au ju on the side.
The food and service was excellent! The kitchen is semi-open with partial views of the cooks. Cool kitchen idea: A mirror is above the chefs in the Sushi Kitchen. You can watch the chefs prepare sushi from your table.
My wallet took a hit with the $44.000 food bill. Here is the breakdown:
2 Bud Lights: 10.00
1 Caesar Salad: 4.00
1 Prime Rib: 27.00
Tax: 3.26
Tip: 10.00

A closing note: The Houston's restaurant wait time for a table was one hour when I left. Wow!!
