RIP: Tucson Citizen Newspaper

According to Gannett Co., Inc, the company will stop publication of the Tucson Citizen newspaper. The Tucson business will continue operating its web site, www.tucsoncitizen.com, said Gannett Co. The last print newspaper edition of the Citizen will be published on Saturday, May 16. A press release sent out today says the Citizen was founded in 1859. Starting Saturday, the paper will no longer be the oldest continuously published newspaper in Arizona.
