Firefighters were alerted to a Ancala house fire at 2:15 PM this afternoon. A caller reported that the exterior BBQ was on fire and extended to the house. Upon arrival firefighters located smoke and fire in a attic and had it knocked down within 30 minutes of arrival. No resident or firefighter injuries reported, according to Tiffani Nichols, Scottsdale Fire Department spokeswoman.
A fire investigator is on the scene. Damage estimate to the house is not known at this time.
