Mountain rescue reported at Granite Mountain Trailhead at 31402 North 136th Street in Scottsdale, AZ.

[Update] SFD officials tell us that Scottsdale Fire Department paramedics and crews treated and removed an injured mountain biker off the Browns Ranch Trail. Crews used Firebird 10 to remove the patient by aircraft due to the distance in off of the trailhead. The patient was treated and then transported to Honor Health Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center for further treatment.
Scottsdale fire would like to remind everyone that when hiking or biking it is important to be with a friend, let someone know where you are going, and carry a charged cell phone.
