Stayed on the rim at the El Tovar!!
Started the S. Kaibab trail at 8:20am and reached Phantom Ranch in 2 hours 15 minutes. Ice on the trail first mile or so used the crampons. The flash flood repairs are still on going and there was a stretch of trail that had granite rock and was not yet covered by dirt.
Stayed at Phantom overnight in a cabin and had steak dinner and the 5:30am breakfast.
Started return hike at 6am and reached the top at 11am.
