Video: Rain, Snow Expected Across State

Scottsdale Arizona News -- A strong Pacific storm is moving into the state. The weather service says rain showers will spread east across the entire area today. Heavy at times. Possible flooding of low spots and normally dry washes and creek beds.

A flash flood watch has been issued for Maricopa County including the greater Phoenix area from 5 p.m. this afternoon into Tuesday morning.

Weather service says near 100 percent chance of rain for this evening for southern Gila County and far northeast Maricopa County.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was reporting rain, 53 degrees at 2:00 p.m., Glendale reported light rain, 52 degrees at 2:00 p.m. and Mesa Gateway Airport reported drizzle, 59 degrees at 2:00 p.m.

There is a blizzard warning in northern Arizona in effect until noon Tuesday. Weather service says snow levels will range from 5000 to 6000 feet. Expect heavy snow accumulations.
