The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a high wind warning. The warning is in effect from 9 a.m. this morning to midnight MST tonight.
The high wind warning is posted for areas near the Colorado River east to Wickenburg, Gila Bend, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Casa Grande and Globe Miami.
Weather service says wind in excess of 40 mph is expected with gusts to between 50 and 65 mph possible.
