Homeless Street Count Up 17 Percent

Scottsdale Arizona News -- More than 126 people can be found living on the streets of Scottsdale, a increase of 17 percent from the year before, according to the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG).

MAG says a recent street count of homeless people in Scottsdale was conducted on January 26, 2010.

Non-Chronically Homeless Female: 16
Chronically Homeless Male: 32
Chronically Homeless Female: 5
Male Youth On Own: 4
Female Youth on Own: 2
Adult Females in Families: 1

Children in Families: 2
Number of Families: 1
2010 Total: 126
2009 Total: 108
Difference: 18
Percent Change: 17%
