House fire reported at 8619 E Columbus Ave in Scottsdale, AZ. The fire broke out around 1:25 a.m. First responders reported flames through the roof. Police evacuated several nearby homes while fire crews fought the blaze.
Scottsdale Fire Department spokeswoman Tiffani Nichols said approximately 30 firefighters from Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix controlled the blaze in approximately 45 minutes. The fire appears to have started in the garage and extended to the attic.
Nichols said fire personnel and Red Cross assist the displaced residents with their short term needs including food, clothing, and shelter.
No injuries were reported and no determination of cause or damage estimate at this time.
