Cessna Lands Safely Without Its Landing Gear Extended

Scottsdale Police Officer Dave Pubins tells Scottsdale Arizona News that a single engine Cessna aircraft landed at Scottsdale Airport (KSDL) without its landing gear extended Friday afternoon at around 2:00 p.m.

Scottsdale Airport planning coordinator Kate O'Malley says the aircraft suffered minimal damage to the landing gear. It will need to be towed off the runway.

The airport's runway is closed until the aircraft can be removed.

No injuries reported to the single male occupant.

[Update] The main runway at the airport has reopened.
