Remove gila monster call reported in the 7700 block of East Lazy J Road (Lone Mountain Rd & Scottsdale Rd) in Scottsdale, AZ.

[Update] SFD officials tell us in an email Scottsdale FD Ladder 615 crew responded to a report of a Gila monster in a garage. Upon arrival crews found a juvenile age/size Gila monster near the residence. The reptile was carefully removed and relocated to an outlying desert area. No injuries reported.
The Scottsdale Fire Department wants residents to know that Gila monsters are an endangered species and is protected by the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
Please remember to keep garage doors down and to look first before reaching or stepping near hiding places and limit any food sources.
