Unconscious subject on the ground reported at 3902 North Brown Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona.
[Update: June 25, 2018] On 6/24/18 at approximately 3:40 am, we responded to a call of an unconscious subject on the ground at 3902 North Brown Ave. (East of Scottsdale Road. South of Main Street.) When patrol officers arrived, they encountered an adult female victim with severe head trauma and she was quickly transported to an area hospital by Scottsdale Fire with life-threatening injuries. The victim has been described as "Transient" and she remains in critical condition at the hospital. This investigation is on-going and no further details are available at this time, according to Sergeant Ben Hoster with the Scottsdale Police Department.

[Update: July 05, 2018] Victim died on 06/30/18. The victim has passed away as a result of her injuries sustained in the attack. The investigation is still on-going. We anticipate putting out further information soon, according to Sgt. Ben Hoster, Public Information Office with the Scottsdale Police Department.

[Update: July 09, 2018] The homeless victim has been identified as Paulette Larwinski, 70 (Birth Date: 07/1947), of Scottsdale.
Police are asking for help identifying a person of interest. The person of interest is described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male, 5’6” to 6’0”, 170-200 lbs. with dark hair. Just prior to the attack, he was seen wearing no shirt and blue jeans. After the attack, he was seen wearing blue jeans, a dark T-shirt and dark colored shoes.

[Update: July 13, 2018] The Scottsdale Police Department (SPD) has arrested 22-year-old Jadyn Curtis for the murder of Paulette Larwinski. Curtis was arrested on July 12, 2018 at approximately 3:26 pm, for 1st Degree Murder, Sex Assault, Kidnapping, and Armed Robbery of Paulette Larwinksi.
