Isolated Thunderstorms Moving Into Phoenix Metro Area

A very dangerous isolated thunderstorm is moving towards Scottsdale. The storm is now located in the Apache Junction area. Apache Junction is located 32 miles southeast of Scottsdale.

The National Weather Service has issued a warning for the Phoenix metro area including: Buckeye, Carefree, Cave Creek, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Mesa, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Sun City, and Tempe. The strongest storms will contain heavy rain and wind gusts up to 45 mph.

Update:
At 7:41 PM a trained spotter reported a 60 mph wind gust in Mesa, Arizona.

Tonight the local TV stations are reporting East Valley damaged mobile homes and commercial property.

The storm fizzled out and never moved into Scottsdale.
