Scottsdale Arizona News -- The Scottsdale Police Department is hosting a free VIN etching service this Saturday, March 6, from 9:00-12:00 at the Kohl's Department Store parking lot (8680 E. Raintree Drive).
Police say this process allows for the vehicle identification number to be etched on to it's glass as an additional deterrent to auto theft.
At some car dealerships, VIN-etching service can cost between $100 to $300.
