Arizona Ski Resorts Are Closed Due To Lack Of Snow

Ski areas around Northern Arizona are delaying opening for lack of snow.

Sunrise Ski Resort is reporting 12 to 14 inches of new snow and it's still snowing. The Arizona Snowbowl reports 9 inches of new snow in the last 7 days.

Sunrise officials tell Scottsdale Arizona News that the resort plans on opening December 16, 2011.

Snowbowl has not yet announced a firm opening dates.
