Serious construction accident reported in the 7100 block of East Highland Avenue in Scottsdale, AZ. Tree down on a adult male worker.
SFD officials tell us in an email that Scottsdale Fire Department Paramedics treated and transported a male construction worker, in his 40's, to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital. The patient was transported as an Immediate with serious injuries.
The man apparently had a tree fall on him during the demolition phases at the construction site.
[Update] SPD tells us in an email that the incident was at 4700 N Scottsdale Rd at the construction site of an old Days Inn. The 49 year old victim has passed away. Scottsdale PD and OSHA are investigating the accident.
