Rural/Metro has elected to file Chapter 11 petitions in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courty for the District of Delaware, according to a press release from the company.
Professional Medical Transport (PMT), a subsidiary of Rural/Metro Corporation, provides 911 ambulance transportation needs for the City of Scottsdale.
The City of Scottsdale has not commented on the bankruptcy filing.
Rural/Metro Corporation is a national provider of 911-emergency and non-emergency ambulance services and private fire protection services, operating in 21 states and nearly 700 communities.
