House fire reported in the 14400 block of East Cheryl Drive (142nd St & Shea Blvd) in Scottsdale, AZ.

[Update: 12:52 PM MST] Scottsdale Fire Department officials tell us that fire crews are on the scene of a working attic fire. Crews are still on scene checking for hot spots.
[Update: 1:49 PM MST] SFD officials tell us that the first units on scene reported black smoke coming from the eaves of the roof. Workers on scene stated they were working on the patio roof replacing the roofing when the blaze started. The homeowner and her son were home and made it out with their dogs safely. Crews kept the fire from spreading to the rest of the home. The family will be displaced due to the damage. No injuries were reported.
